注：株式会社ヤマップと岩手県警察は、2020年7月25日、山岳遭難者の早期救助と二次遭難の防止のため、「遭難ZERO協定」を結ぶとともに、山岳遭難をなくすための広報啓発活動への相互協力を行っています。
同協定に基づき、山岳遭難が発生した際には株式会社ヤマップが保管する登山計画を閲覧し、救助活動に活用しています。

山岳安全対策ネットワーク協議会のコンパスと岩手県警察本部は、2023年11月16日、相互に協力して安全に登山を楽しむ環境づくり、その啓発活動、及び山岳事故遭難の対応を迅速に行うことを目的として協定を締結しました。本協定は、コンパス登山届システムに登録されている登山届を閲覧することで、救助捜索等に活用できることを定めています。

Compass, the Mountain Safety Measures Network Council, and the Iwate Prefectural Police signed an agreement on November 16, 2023, for the purpose of mutually cooperating to create an environment for safe mountain climbing, to raise awareness of such activities, and to promptly respond to mountain accidents. The agreement stipulates that mountain climbing notifications registered in the  Compass system can be viewed by authorities and used for search and rescue and other purposes.

岩手山の登山口（松川、七滝、焼走り、上坊、馬返し、御神坂、網張、柳沢の8コース）に設置されているQRコードを読み込むことで、自治体（滝沢市、八幡平市、雫石町）が運営する岩手山モバイル登山届システムをご利用いただけます。

By reading the QR codes installed at the trailheads fore Mt.Iwate (8 courses: Matsukawa, Nanataki, Yakehashiri, Kamibo, Umagaeshi, Ogamizaka, Amihari, Yanagisawa), you can access [the Mt. Iwate mobile mountain climbing notification system operated by the relevant] local governments (Takizawa City, Hachimantai City, Shizukuishi Town). ).

十分に余裕ある日程で行動しましょう
Plan your activities with plenty of time to spare

冬山では、気温が低く、日没も早く16時には暗闇となることがあります。
夏山に慣れた方でも前もって十分な準備と登山中も慎重な行動が大切です。
登山計画は、15時には下山完了できるよう、体力に自信がない方にあわせることが大切です。

In the mountains in winter, the temperature is low and the sun sets early, so it can be dark by 4pm. Even if you are accustomed to mountain climbing in summer, it is important to prepare well beforehand and exercise due care while climbing. It is important to plan your mountain climbing to accommodate all members of your party,including those who are not confident in their physical strength, so that you can complete your descent by 3pm.

万が一遭難が起きた場合、生命の危機にさらされる確率が高まります。経験のある方と一緒に登りましょう。

装備を十分に整えて登山に臨みましょう
Prepare your equipment

万が一に備えて、非常食、救急用品、防寒具、ヘッドランプ、通信機器、ツェルトなどは必ず用意しましょう。

Be sure to prepare emergency food, first-aid supplies, cold weather gear, headlamps, communication equipment, emergency shelter, snow gear,etc. For use in the event of an accident.

​雪崩ビーコン・プローブ・ショベルを携帯しましょう
​​Carry an avalanche beacon, shovel and probe

万が一に備え、雪崩ビーコンを携帯しましょう。雪崩ビーコンは、自分が雪崩に埋没してしまった場合、埋没してしまった人を探すための装備です。雪崩ビーコンのほか、埋没してしまった場所を特定するためのプローブ（ゾンデ）、掘り出すショベルも携帯しましょう。

Carry an avalanche beacon just in case. An avalanche beacon is a piece of equipment that can be used to search for those buried in an avalanche. In addition to an avalanche beacon, carry a probe (sonde) to locate buried climbers and a shovel for digging.

携帯電話の充電を確実に行いましょう
​Make sure your phone is charged

万が一の場合、警察や消防に連絡できるよう入山前には携帯電話のフル充電を心掛けましょう。気温が低い中では、バッテリーの消耗も早くなりますので、予備バッテリーの準備も大切です。

Be sure to fully charge your cell phone before entering the mountain so that you can contact the police or fire department in case of an emergency. In cold weather, the battery will drain faster, so it is important to have a spare battery ready.

​気象状態を常に確認しましょう
​Always check the weather conditions

入山する前に、必ず期間中の気象状況を確認し、注意報、警報の発令中は回避することはもちろんのこと、登山中少しでも天候悪化の兆しが見えたら、潔く登山を中止して引き返す勇気をもちましょう。

Before setting out, be sure to check the weather conditions for the period you will be climbing and adhere to any warnings or advisories in effect. If you see even the slightest sign of worsening weather while climbing, have the courage to cancel the climb and return. You can try again another day.

八幡平エリアでは、毎年の様に雪崩が発生しています。過去の雪崩の発生状況も確認してください。

遭難時の対応　Response in case of distress

万が一、自力で下山が難しい、下山予定を過ぎても連絡がない、などの場合、本人または家族から、地元警察または110番に救助を要請してください。
また、警察による捜索のほかに八幡平遭難対策委員会の捜索救助隊による捜索（有償）を依頼する場合、捜索経費が請求されます。

In the unlikely event that you find it difficult to descend the mountain on your own, or if you are not heard from after your expected descent, you or your family should request help from the local police or call 110.
In addition to the police search, if you request a search by the search and rescue team of the Hachimantai incident Manegement Committee, search costs will be charged.
